Waupun woman finds wanderer in her bed
WAUPUN — Except for the trail of blood through the house, it was almost like a scene out of Goldilocks — complete with an intruder sleeping in the wrong bed.
A homeowner was shocked to find an intoxicated neighbor sleeping in one of the upstairs bedrooms of her Carrington Street home early Sunday morning.
Waupun Police Chief Dale Heeringa said the 30-year-old Waupun man apparently thought he was breaking into his own home on the 300-block of Carrington Street when he smashed a window to gain entry. With blood dripping from a cut from the broken glass, the man wandered through the house until he passed out in a bed, Heeringa said.
Charges against the man of disorderly conduct/criminal trespass to a dwelling are being forwarded to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office.
The “evils of drinks” scenario!
It could have been a lot worse. He could have been a real bad guy, instead of just a drunk idjit! Hmmm… that’s a bit redundent….sorry!
