Fox Cities weather today: Wind chills reach hazardous levels
The National Weather Service reported Appleton’s temperature at 17 degrees below zero at 6:30 a.m. today. The wind chill factor fell to 36 degrees below zero.
Pffft! Our outside thermometer said it was 19 below here in Waupun at 8:30 am.
A high temperature of 6 degrees is expected Tuesday and temperatures should reach the teens by the end of the week.
Woohoo! A heat wave!
Today, the weather will remain dangerously cold.
Good reason to stay inside. I was going to finish up the laundry, but my dryer isn’t taking too well to the cold. It’s out on the back porch/mud room. I’ll be heading to Tennessee this weekend where the temps are predicted to be in the 40’s. Should I take the “whale suit” (aka bathing)?
