Don’t feel bad, a lot of “old” hippies saw the light and realized that you can’t change the world by blaming the US and exonerating everyone and just thinking about big fluffy clouds. They came to this realization long enough ago, that it is now the “traditional” way of thinking. Sadly, some never saw the light and are just old hippies. Of which there is nothing sadder.

As an old hippie myself (well – sorta) – I don’t think you should be hard on yourself either. You know the saying about if you aren’t a liberal as a 20 year old you don’t have a heart, if you are a liberal as a 50 year old you don’t have a brain. Something like that
