Fred Thompson has a form of lymphoma. From what I can understand, it is not life threatening. More info will be released soon.

Thompson, who is considering a run for the White House in 2008, said he hasn’t had any symptoms or sickness from indolent lymphoma, a form of cancer.
“I have had no illness from it, or even any symptoms. My life expectancy should not be affected. I am in remission, and it is very treatable with drugs if treatment is needed in the future — and with no debilitating side effects,” Thompson said.
Let’s all hope that this will not affect his decision in making a run for the White House. He might not be everyone’s ideal conservative, but given the rest of the field’s known names, he’s got a good shot. Sadly, Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo aren’t out there in front of the cameras enough for people to become aquainted with them.
