It’s that time of the year…. pumkins all over the place, people decorating their houses, stocking up on candy, eating way too much of it, and leaves everywhere.

So, from me to you……

Thanks Kathy! 🙂

If you don’t think the Dems have designs on your wallet, check THIS out!

Like most Big Government solutions, however, AmeriCare limits individual choice. You can opt out of AmeriCare, but only if you demonstrate to the government’s satisfaction that you have “health benefits coverage under a group health plan…that is at least equivalent to the coverage otherwise provided under” AmeriCare. So, if you are a young and healthy person starting up a small business and finances are tight, you can forget about temporarily foregoing health insurance or purchasing a low-cost policy that covers primarily catastrophic care. You are going to pay for AmeriCare whether you can afford to or not.

AmeriCare will only cost $50-$60 billion to start! Yeah, right. Apparently Medicare’s history hasn’t done much to stymie Stark’s confidence. In 1965, federal actuaries projected Medicare would cost only $9 billion by 1990. But that’s a trifling detail — they were only off by a factor of seven.

Gee, Medicare has worked so well, right? So efficient! pffft!

Homicide Car Bomber Kills 10 at Baghdad Wedding Ceremony

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A homicide car bomber targeted a wedding ceremony in Baghdad Tuesday, killing 10 people, including four children, and wounding 12 others, police said.

The violence came after all checkpoints around the Shiite militant stronghold of Sadr City and other parts of the capital were ordered removed by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

The bomber plowed a car packed with explosives into a crowd of Shiite celebrants preparing to board vehicles outside the bride’s home in the Shaab neighborhood of Baghdad, Lt. Ahmed Mohamed of the Risafa police station said.

Gee, why not just put the fuse in the powder keg?  How much of a moron do you have to be to think it was a good idea to remove the checkpoints?

Hog On Ice is pulling no punches on Halloween, and other “holidays”.

I don’t know why parents are such chickenshits these days. Jesus, let the kids take their chances. I lived, didn’t I? And you know what? I’ve SEEN your kids, waddling around the mall in their droopy pants, smoking clove cigarettes and pretending to be black. I hate to break this to you, but they are by no means essential or irreplaceable. They are powerful evidence that Darwin was full of shit. Frankly, I think we should put them in cargo containers and exchange them for Chinese kids who can read and know how to say “sir.”

I love it!

Waupun student dies

Waupun High School senior Michael J. Smits died Saturday. Police are waiting for the medical examiner’s results as to whether it was from a medical condition or an accident.

Witnesses say Smits had been at the Warriors football game, and was on his way to the Warriors volleyball game.

According to Waupun Police Chief Dale Heeringa, Smits, 18, was at the corner of N. Mill and E. Main streets when his vehicle nudged a vehicle in front of him, then went across Main Street, and down S. Mill Street veering to the right, going onto the terrace and knocking down three signs and posts.

The people in the nudged vehicle noticed that Smits was slumped over the wheel.

Heeringa said the vehicle struck a telephone storage building.

Waupun firemen used the jaws of life to remove Smits from his vehicle, and Brooks Ambulance took him to Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Dodge County Sheriff Todd Nehls had been at the Warriors football game and also responded to the call which came in at 5:22 p.m. He called in two members of his accident reconstruction team telling them, “We have a crash scene two blocks long.”

The Wisconsin State Patrol also assisted the Waupun Police Department.

Today, Waupun High School principal Jeff Finstad said he met with staff before school started, and they made the announcement once school started.

“Counselors are available, and people are in there right now,” he said.

What this article doesn’t tell you, Michael was born with a heart condition. And he was a member of my church.

My prayers are with the family!

What a complete and utter ASS! I’m sure our military men and women would be quite surprised to find out they aren’t smart. I’ve known many in the military, from all branches, and I’d have to say the majority are a great deal more intelligent than this low life, scum sucking, jackass!

Oh, and btw, did you know Kerry was in Viet Nam?

News from the campaign trail

Rock music legend Elton John has donated $20,000 to a group trying to defeat a proposed constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriage in Wisconsin, according to a campaign filing on Monday.

Aren’t there any rich gay people who think this is a bad idea? They want the right to get a divorce and spend lots of money in a court battle like everyone else…makes no sense! Been there, done that…ain’t no fun!

Police stun gun kills teen with Bible

Police tried to calm the teen, but Holyfield became combative, according to the statement. Officers fired the stun gun at him after he ignored their warnings, then fired again when he continued struggling, police said.

Obviously, a disturbed individual, but why twice?

China: N. Korea rejoins nuclear disarmament talks

North Korea agreed today to rejoin six-nation nuclear disarmament talks in a surprise diplomatic breakthrough three weeks after the communist regime conducted its first known atomic test, the Chinese government said.

Perhaps the Chia Dic-tater has finally figured out he’s NOT as big as he thinks he is?

Howard defiant on climate

“If everybody is in, I am prepared to lead Australia in,” he said. “But I am not prepared to lead Australia into an agreement that is going to betray the interests of the working men and women of this country and destroy the natural advantage that providence gave us.”

Smart cookie! All or none makes more sense.  I still don’t like it though.
Ballot item eyes unions for day-care workers

A little-noticed but well-funded initiative buried near the bottom of the ballot on Election Day would allow unions to organize workers in some 9,000 mom-and-pop day-care centers run out of homes across the state

What a stupid idea! I wonder how many single parent’s would have to quit work because they can’t afford daycare anymore if the workers unionized….higher pay (ok), large benefit packages paid for by said soon to be unemployed parents…businesses closing down because they can’t make a profit due to those demands for more and more and more! Naturally, John Kerry supports the idea.

New sitter rules proposed

The proposed rules would end the current practice of allowing some caregivers for welfare recipients to get paid before the state completes their criminal background checks. The regulations require public comment and approval from state lawyers before they can go into effect next year.

Well, there’s a DUH!

New poll shows Democrat Jim Webb with slight edge on Sen. George Allen in Virginia Senate race

Democrat Jim Webb has a slight lead over Republican Sen. George Allen with a week to go in a key race that could determine control of the Senate, according to a poll released Tuesday.

I don’t put much stock in polls, the way they are worded makes me extremely suspicious. I do find it hard to believe that the people in VA have become completely oblivious. I lived there for 15 years, and I remember it as being a rather informed place.

Hamsters have more sperm than men

The research made by the US government shows that men now produce only about a third as much sperm as hamsters.

Your tax dollars at work!

Mr. Bush, when will it end in Iraq?

Hey, Mr. Bush, how long are you going to keep the boys over there in Iraq? Until there’s no one left to send home? If you think war is so great, why don’t all you big shots go over there yourself? You’d soon have it ended.I don’t see any of your rich friends’ kids over there. People don’t raise their children to have them slaughtered like animals.

How would you like it if they told us how to run our government?

You’ve goofed it up enough by yourself.

Evelyn Scheinoha

Now, there’s a real thought out, factual based, articulate, letter. (read MAJOR sarcasm)
