An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

Just Bloody Marvelous

So Mr. Ol’ Broad and I decided to vacate “tax hell” and get away from the frigid winters.  We find a wonderful house in Tennessee with all the amenities (including electricity and indoor plumbing) and what do we find?  No DSL, no cable and it’s in a bloomin’ EARTHQUAKE ZONE!  sigh…

I knew the New Madrid fault line was sort of close, but I had no idea just HOW close.  So now, I’m not going to freeze to death, I’m just going to be swallowed up by the bloomin’ earth.

And, NO, I’m not regretting our decision.  🙂  I will adapt to the lack of modern technology, with many grumbles, but no regrets.

  1. Thought you knew abot the eartquake potential. We talked about that with the insurance guy. Someday we’ll go to New Madrid (about three hours)and go to the little earthquke museum there.

  2. Yeah, I knew it was close, but I didn’t realize we were going to be “in the zone”! LOL
