An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

My Opinion

This evening, I finally watched Flags of Our Fathers. I kind of knew how I would react to it, so I kept putting it off. All I will say about it is if you don’t like the ugly reality of war, don’t watch it. If you do watch it and don’t cry through a good 70% of that movie, there is something seriously wrong with you.

And to think, those men died to help keep our country free, so those sorry asses in Washington, D.C. could abandon their brother (and sisters) in arms.

  1. A VERY powerful movie indeed….I am in turn, awaiting “Letters from Iwo Jima”…I think Ken Watanabe is one of the best character actors around….

  2. From the previews on the disk, I’d say it’s going to be a darn good movie. And you’re right, he’s extremely talented.
