Iffy Connection

Isn’t WiFi suppose to be faster than dial up?  I’m not finding that to be the case this morning.  The little card on the desk says that the entire hotel is a “WiFi hot spot”.  What a crock.  I’ve been battling with this infernal contraption all morning, which of course, started last night.  I thought it was just because I was tired, because you know full well, if you’re having a “bad day”, everything sucks, right?  Not entirely true in this case.  sigh…

Well, what else have I got to do right now other than wait on my daughter to get off work?  Hmmm…. I could go shopping.  🙂

  1. Not necessarily. WiFi is simply a wireless local-area network.

Its internal speed is related to both how many people are using it and your distance from the access point. The more people on it, or the further away from that point you are, the slower the connection.

Its external speed is whatever level of ISP service that provider has.

  2. They told me that the …. thingamajig, is right next to my room. Dang, I’m just gonna have a Monday, aren’t I! 🙂 You’d think that a big ol’ city could have better connections. sigh… I’d do better with plugging in. :/
