Fond du Lac in midst of blizzard warning

A second round of snow is expected to spread across southern Wisconsin this evening, with accumulations up to 13 inches, according to the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

I think I’m going to have to head back to Tennessee for a few days when I leave here. :/

Report: Britain’s Terror Threat Worst Since Sept. 11

More than 2,000 British-based Islamic terrorists are believed to be plotting attacks, according to a government threat assessment prepared this month, which The Sunday Telegraph said it had seen.

Perhaps it’s time to stop all the PC nonsense? Call a spade a spade, and shut down all those Mosques of hatred operating in the UK! And it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to do the same thing on this side of the big pond either.

Fort Monroe plan clears General Assembly

Closing Fort Monroe and planning for the future of the land is tricky because much of the 570-acre waterfront outpost reverts to state control when the Army packs up. Citizens, historians and local and state officials are excited about the potential of the base, but also wary of how to use the fort that has served as a military outpost since the early 1600s.

The base houses more than a hundred historic buildings including the Chamberlain Hotel, the old stone fort and the surrounding moat.

Now this annoys me! One of my first memories of moving to Virginia from Texas, is of Fort Monroe, and that dadburn gigantic jellyfish that got me! I love that place! The Chamberlain is one the few really classy old hotels left, no serious modern amenities, but classy!

Iran kills 17 fighters near Turkey

The state-run IRNA agency said the clashes took place after the guards descended on the northwestern area, 17km from the Turkish border, in pursuit of the fighters on Saturday.
(…)
Iran said the guards were continuing “to fully clean up the region of anti-revolutionary elements,” without giving further details about the fighters.

I ain’t buyin’ it! What they probably mean is they slaughtered people who don’t want their oppressive regime.

Hunt for priests in Xiwanzi diocese

The Patriotic Association (PA) has launched a violent campaign against underground Catholics in Xiwanzi. This was denounced in an appeal from some faithful that reached AsiaNews. Prompted by the local authorities, the police are on a manhunt, with door-to-door searches for underground priests to make them inscribe to the PA. Believers who refuse to collaborate and to act as spies are arrested or left without work. Those with shops are forced to shut down. The auxiliary bishop of the diocese, Mgr Yao Liang, has been missing in police custody since 30 July. There are also 20 believers and two priests in prison. The appeal that reached AsiaNews ended with a plea: “Brothers and sisters, pray for us, so that the Christian faith in China may be truly free!”

I’m confused. The PA has something to do with the Catholic Church, yet they are launching a “violent campaign” against Catholic priests? But the police have made a bishop go missing while in their custody? Like I said, I’m seriously confused.

Deputies: S.C. man burned by ex-wife

A woman has been arrested after Union County, S.C., deputies say she poured kerosene on her former husband and set him on fire.

Magnolia Sims, 51, of Whitmire was charged Friday with assault and battery with intent to kill, Sheriff Howard Wells said.

Criminy! What a pair!

  1. Great point about Iran I wouldn’t buy their BS either and you’re probably dead on with that…

They are an ever growing pain in the rear that needs immediate attention with out the all PC niceness involved.

  2. Well, I could never be accused of being PC, that’s for sure! 🙂 Of course, they call it diplomacy. I call it a big pile of cow flop!
