China expands sub fleet

China’s military is engaged in a major buildup of submarines that includes five new strategic nuclear-missile boats and several advanced nuclear-powered attack submarines, according to the Office of Naval Intelligence.

I’m wondering why the Chinese feel this build up is necessary, and why aren’t we doing a better job of doing a build up?

Howard Dean Demands GOP Candidates Denounce Ann Coulter for Referring to John Edwards as a ‘Faggot’

“I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’ so I – so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards.”

Well, that wasn’t a real bright thing to do, and NO, I do not approve. I’m thinking though, it’s ok for so many on the left to call the President of the United States a murderer, a liar, etc.? Two wrongs do NOT make a right though.

SEC alleges insider trading in TXU deal

Federal regulators on Friday charged that unknown individuals illegally profited from advance knowledge of the proposed $32 billion buyout of electric utility TXU Corp., using foreign brokerage firms for the transactions to conceal their identities.

If they are “unknown individuals”, how do they know this stuff? Texas is getting well known for it’s bad financial deals. I’m beginning to think they should start using the death penalty on those types.

Fayed may quiz royals at Diana’s inquest

Prince Philip and the Prince of Wales faced the prospect of being personally cross-examined by Mohamed Fayed after the Harrods owner won an extraordinary and unprecedented legal battle yesterday to have the inquests into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Mr Fayed’s son Dodi heard before a jury.

That could get a tad sticky. Why can’t they let that poor woman rest in peace?

Image gets to the jurors too
As testimony in John Couey’s murder trial opens, prosecutors focus the panel on the victim.

Attorneys spoke and witnesses testified. But it was a single image, not words, that visibly affected jurors Thursday.

Jessica wearing the pink hat and a broad smile.

I typically don’t wish ill will on anyone, but I really hope that guy, and all those like him, roasts in hell.

Death sentenced overturned for man who admitted to Memphis double slaying

Riels confessed to a brutal attack on April 21, 2003, that killed Fanchion Pollock, 89, and the nurse who cared for her, Mary Jane Cruchon, 59. He also killed a toy poodle that was barking as he beat the women with a claw hammer.

If a person confesses to murder, and all evidence agrees with his/her confession, then I don’t see why more people aren’t executed.

Coach gets 32 years for sex with 2 students

A former Hinsdale Central High School basketball coach respected by his colleagues and friends lived a “secret life” that included sexual relationships with two underage students, a DuPage County judge said Thursday as she sentenced him to 32 years in prison.

If this man gets 32 years, why is that blond bimbo running around basically free? Why the double standard when it comes to sex with an underage student?
