Woman killed in police station

A 35-year-old woman was killed inside the Fox Lake Police Department on Sunday afternoon as she frantically tried to flee her husband, authorities said.

I realize that Fox Lake is a small town, but shouldn’t there have been at least ONE cop stationed at the police station? I noticed this story was NOT in the Distorter or the Daily Citizen.

Woman accused of helping exploit girls

Tiffany Lynn Melvin, 25, turned herself in to authorities Saturday afternoon, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said. Melvin has been charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a child. Authorities say she recruited girls she knew socially to hook up with 68-year-old Aubrey Nelson “Toby” Batson, who gave them drugs, money and cellular phones.

EWWWWWW! First question: What was a 25 year old doing with a 68 year old man? Second: Why on earth would be “hooking up” her …. gag …. boyfriend with children? Third: Why aren’t young girls being taught morals?

Death business is on the rise in FdL County

Business at the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s office is booming and the second suite is actually an “autopsy suite” that will allow two autopsies to take place simultaneously.

Did I really need to know this? I know dead folks have to go somewhere before they are planted. I know death is part of life. I don’t need to know it’s a booming business. :/

Key U.N. Security Council Members Fail to Agree on Iran Sanctions

The world’s most powerful nations failed to agree on new sanctions against Iran amid reports that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to put Tehran’s case for a nuclear program before the U.N. Security Council.

This guy is a threat to all civilized nations, yet they can’t come to some kind of agreement? More proof that they truly are Useless Numnuts.

Citizens Who Lack Papers Lose Medicaid

A new federal rule intended to keep illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid has instead shut out tens of thousands of United States citizens who have had difficulty complying with requirements to show birth certificates and other documents proving their citizenship, state officials say.

Shouldn’t the ‘powers that be’ make it easier for citizens in need to get their necessary documents? I have made sure that I have copies of all birth certificates, divorce papers, etc. should the need ever arise. Help them get these papers, then, it’s their responsibility to hang on to them.

Poll: Crime tops election issues

Gangs plague neighborhoods. Rapes aren’t uncommon. Thieves ransack vehicles by the dozens each day. And political leaders all but universally acknowledge Dallas’ Police Department is understaffed.

Sounds a lot like Milwaukee, doesn’t it. The major difference? Dallas is a WHOLE lot bigger.

Cat bites hand that feeds it — 20 times

The cat, a black and white domestic male, went on the rampage Wednesday when a neighbor showed up at the door with a different cat, mistakenly thinking it belonged to the woman.

This is why I have female cats. Male types are way too territorial.

Obama, Clinton Sparring Early

In the month since the presidential nominating contest got underway, Obama (D-Ill.) and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) have barely mentioned each other’s names in public or even greeted each other in the Senate halls. But each campaign has increasingly fixated on the other, engaging in a shadowboxing match in which they intentionally cross paths but dodge to avoid each other’s subtle jabs. With an intensity unusual for this stage of the campaign the two are indirectly engaging, invading each other’s terrain and going to great lengths to contrast their candidacies.

Are either one of the them actually concentrating on the job their were elected to do? Or is all campaigning, all the time? One REAL good reason not to start this nonsense more than 12 months out from any election.

Oil falls below $60 on warm U.S. weather

New York crude oil prices fell below $60 a barrel Monday as above-average temperatures returned to the U.S. Northeast, a major heating-oil consumer.

So does this mean those pathetic Chavez suck ups on those Citgo commercials will shut up now?  One can only hope!
