College students charged with sexual assault

Three college students have been charged with sexual assault in three separate cases on South Padre Island.

The ‘spring break’ ritual has been getting out of hand for quite a while. I would have thought college student were more mature, but I think they are reverting. :/

Missing Georgia boy is found dead

Christopher’s partially concealed body was discovered by a state ranger about three miles from the youngster’s home. Doering said it was obvious the boy had been killed, but he would not say how and would not disclose how long the body had been there.

I had a bad feeling about this little boy when I first heard about his disappearance. Prayers.

Three men indicted in nursing home scheme

Three north Texas men used dozens of sham companies, mail drops in England and Austria and other trickery in a conspiracy to evade $34 million in taxes they owed in connection with a national network of nursing homes, a federal indictment alleges.

How do people think up this kind of stuff?

Police gear up for St. Patrick’s Day

“St. Patrick’s Day has become a big night out for many Americans — especially young adults. With the holiday falling on a Saturday this year, we’ll be working even harder to keep drunk drivers off the road,” said Capt. Darren Pautsch of the North Fond du Lac Police Department in a press release. “If we catch you driving impaired, we will arrest you.”

I guess I just never thought of Fond du Lac as a major party town.

Pacific leaders should cancel US trip if Bush snubs them: lawmaker

A US lawmaker called on leaders of the South Pacific islands to skip their scheduled meeting in Washington in May if President George W. Bush does not host them for talks in the White House.

Eni Faleomavaega, the Democratic Representative from American Samoa, said he was made to understand that a White House meeting was not in the itinerary of their trip, confined so far to talks with senior officials.

What is it with these Democrats? Since when do they run the whole show? There are 3 separate branches of the government, and one, being Congress, is NOT in charge.

Accused soldier ‘a hero’

Bentley said he thinks his grandson, who moved in with his grandparents as a boy after his mother died in a 1989 auto accident, is taking the fall for brigade commander Col. Michael Steele, who allegedly commanded soldiers to “kill all military-aged males.”

If the commander ordered such a thing, then why is the soldier being charged?

Wyoming reporter gets scoop on dog poop

Reporter Alison Stewart of the Powell Tribune proved this week she’s willing to go to great lengths to get the scoop. Stewart reports in Thursday’s edition that her recent survey of 3.6-acre Washington Park revealed “at least 108 dog poop piles.”

Did she personally count each and every one all by her lonesome?

Another Republican says Gonzales should go

U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith, R-Ore., has become the second Senate Republican to call for the ouster of U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., was the first Republican to join the list of lawmakers calling for Gonzales to lose his job over the way the Justice Department handled the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys.

“If I were the president, I would fire the attorney general,” Sununu told USA Today.

Well, he’s not, and that’s not his call. Nor is it the Democrats.

  1. Another dead child, allegedly at the hands of a sex offender who lived down the street. When is our society going put the rights of a child to have a life above that of a sex offender to not be “stigmatized.” If our society cannot protect the youngest and most vulnerable what does that say about us as a society?

  2. Don’t you know? The criminal has all the rights….victims, or potential victims, have none.
