Baptist theologian suggests gay reversals in womb

The president of the leading Southern Baptist seminary has incurred sharp attacks from the left and right by suggesting that a biological basis for homosexuality may be proved and that prenatal treatment to reverse gay orientation would be biblically justified.

Elderly man drives through restaurant

A chivalrous elderly man attempting to do a favour for some female relatives almost wound up killing them when he ploughed his car through the side of a restaurant in Melbourne’s south-east today.

Sounds like he was having a seriously bad day.

2 held in thefts at cemetery

In the last few years, copper thieves have been desperate enough to desecrate grave sites, strip wiring from light poles and steal air conditioners from churches. In July, authorities said a man was electrocuted while trying to steal copper from a telephone pole in West Dallas.

Seems nothing is sacred anymore. That’s just flat out rude!

Clinton Says Some G.I.’s in Iraq Would Remain

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton foresees a “remaining military as well as political mission” in Iraq, and says that if elected president, she would keep a reduced military force there to fight Al Qaeda, deter Iranian aggression, protect the Kurds and possibly support the Iraqi military.

Well, that should tick off the anti American bunch.

Ohio 13-Year-Old Charged With 128 Felonies

A 13-year-old southeast Ohio boy is charged in juvenile court with 128 felonies in what police are calling a crime spree targeting homes and businesses.

Ah yes, a fine example of an upstanding youth. Criminy! One of those in need of the wood shed, frequently.

That’s the spirit: NU prof awarded $1.5 mil.

For the last seven years, Taylor, a 75-year-old philosopher, has been teaching courses such as “Theories of Ethics” and “Modern Social Imaginaries and the Rise of Secular Society” at Northwestern’s Law School and the university’s philosophy department. He is also a professor emeritus at McGill University in Montreal.

Ethics is a “theory”? Since when?

A girl’s beloved dog, a grisly nightmare

“I told him everything and he never shared any of my secrets,” said Crystal, 17, who has had some troubled times in her young life. Chevy was her therapy dog, and she leaned on him for comfort and support.

Two weeks ago, a gift-wrapped box was left at the house where she lives with her grandmother in St. Paul’s Rice Street area. Inside the box, Crystal was horrified to find her dog’s head.

What kind of sick, demented person does something like that?  I can’t imagine hate so strong that…  I have no words.
