The Gathering of Eagles

Mike’s America has some pretty good coverage on the Gathering of Eagles today.  Since I just got the satellite hooked up (doin’ Snoopy dance), and haven’t quite figured it out yet, I don’t know what coverage the media has done on this event.

  1. It’s on c-span and it’ll make you sick…

Moonbats galore preaching nothing but contradiction, hypocrisy and your complete commie type of rhetoric.

  2. Showed one guy in the crowd with this weird looking cold weather cap. the kind with the flaps and lined with wool?

Had a gigantic red star on it…

That’s the kind of folks in the mix of that crap, and he’s not alone. They’re freaks for the most part.

  3. I missed that. I’ve been checking around the news channels and have only heard about the anti American bunch, with a tiny snippet stating there was a counter protest, and that’s it! Very annoying. Tells me what I already knew….the media isn’t paying attention.

  4. Thanks for the link.

What I gathered from our teams on the ground and was confirmed by media reports is that the Gathering of Eagles matched or exceeded the turnout by the anti-American-war protesters.

What a shame that C-Span covered the anti-American group live, but reran some stuffy congressional hearing during in the morning when the Eagles were making speeches.

  5. I have been looking through the news pages, and so far, only one has even mentioned the event. I haven’t found squat on the Fox News pages.

I’m seriously pissed about this. I feel like those of us who actually believe in the U.S. are being snubbed, again.

    Oh, and you’re welcome. 🙂

  8. I would just encourage all of you to phone or email C-Span.

Point out that media reports show that the Gathering of Eagles had at least as many participants as the anti-war crowd.

Surely C-Span could have given the Gathering some moments of morning air time. If they’re going to carry the hate America crowd live, that’s the least they can do.

Also, write letters to the editor of your local paper pointing out that this was the 40th anniversary of the big Vietnam anti-war protest and these lameo lefties fizzled.

    The Eagles ruled the roost!

  9. Believe it or not, the Washington Post is covering it. I wish I had known this was going on. I would have been there with my Operation Desert Storm shirt (I was in the Navy then). I usually don’t go counter protest because I am short and those anti-war protesters can get violent. This time it would have been safe. Sad that one is afraid to express one’s opinion in this country out of fear of injury.
