Ol’ Broad Doin’ the Snoopy Dance!

Yesssssssssss! We’re moving out of dial-up hell!  I just got off the phone with Wild Blue and we will be doin’ the satellite connection thing in the not too distant future.  The girl I was talking to said there were a LOT of folks in this particular area who had been calling in to switch from their dial up.  🙂  It’s not cheap, but neither is therapy, which is where I’d be going if I had to keep fighting this battle.

  1. Kate, welcome to the 21st century! A couple of years ago, anbout 5 or so, I moved. I had road runner. Where I moved to, only dial up. I didn’t know before I moved. 1 year later, I moved back to the Bay. DSL, baby, yea!

  2. It took ’em a long time to get DSL in Waupun, longer for me to convince the Mr. to get it. This dial up business is so last century. LOL Turns out the put up another satellite cuz they knew I was coming. 🙂 Living in the boonies in Tennessee has a lot of pluses. Internet service hasn’t been one of ’em. 🙂

  3. I started on a 24K dialup… Moved to town and got 56K and thought I was in heaven…

Got Verizon DSL, their top level, and I live really close to the switching station, I am almost T-1 now and have no idea how I’d survive on dialup…

    I’d likely kill someone…
