U.S. Rep. Mollohan the target of federal investigation

Neither a federal investigation into his finances nor watchdog groups on the left and right calling him one of the most corrupt men on Capitol Hill has stopped U.S. Rep. Alan Mollohan from bringing home the bacon.

Motorists winding through hill country south of Morgantown, near the Democrat congressman’s hometown here, can’t miss the gleaming Interstate 79 Technology Park that sprouted through his efforts.

I’ve never even heard of the guy. Wonder why? Corruption runs rampant through OUR Capital building.

Illegals bill sinks Bush job approval

President Bush yesterday used his weekly radio address to urge listeners to support the immigration deal reached by a handful of senators last week, even as new poll numbers showed the immigration issue is hurting Mr. Bush’s job-approval ratings.

Yep! As I predicted, this immigration/illegal alien business would hurt Bush. I was right. No one in D.C. seems to be listening to us common folk. Perhaps it’s time to wipe the slate clean. Fire ALL of those in Washington, and start with a new batch? Maybe it’s time for another Revolution to fight against another oppressive, and deaf, governing body.

Lieberman: We either disband Hamas, or the government

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi remained reluctant to authorize a wide-scale ground operation targeting terrorist infrastructure inside the Gaza Strip, and preferred to discuss pinpoint tactics, Army Radio reported.

Prior to the meeting, Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman (read his blog) declared that Olmert had only two choices: disband Hamas, or disband the government.

When you get right down to it, is a terrorist organization really qualified to run a government? Nope, I don’t think so!

Texas Legislature’s session winds down with agendas squelched

“The Republicans have squandered a majority,” said former state GOP Chairman Tom Pauken, who headed Perry’s task force on property tax appraisal reform last year. “We could have gotten a lot more done if we’d had strong Republican leadership. We’ve got to quit simply saluting because they are Republicans.”

Sadly, this happens all too often. We saw it nationally, we see in individual states. Republicans must learn to stand up against the die-hard left! Otherwise, confidence in their ability gets lost. Lose the RHINOS!

Mars bars get veggie status back

Mars has abandoned plans to use animal products in its chocolate, and has apologised to “upset” vegetarians.

The firm had said it would change the whey used in some of its products from a vegetarian source to one with traces of the animal enzyme, rennet.

What kind of critter could you use in a chocolate bar anyway? Hmmm….how ’bout possum flavored chocolate? Leave my chocolate alone. 🙂

Police: Two Found Dead in Church, Including Suspected Sniper, After Idaho Standoff

Police do not believe the shooter had a specific target in mind.

“He was just shooting at anybody he could,” Duke said. “We believe the shots were from a high area, based on where the victims were shot.”

What kind of lunatic does things like this?

A bank robber goes first class: Flowers and a limo

What began with a bouquet and floral gift box delivered to a Wells Fargo bank in Maple Grove at noon Saturday, just as a limousine arrived, turned into a bank robbery that the FBI says is unlike any ever in the Twin Cities.

I suppose if you are going to do something, you might as well do it with style.
