Anne Frank memorial in Idaho hit by vandals

Vandals toppled and damaged a bronze statue of Holocaust victim Anne Frank in Idaho’s capital, two months after the memorial was plastered with neo-Nazi stickers.

To vandalize the stature of a young girl who suffered horrors, we, in this nation have known, and hopefully never will is just beyond reason.

Motorcyclists face charges after stunts cause injuries

Three motorcyclists are facing misdemeanor charges after two of them were injured Sunday trying to perform wheelies and stunts on Texas 360, Grand Prairie police said Monday.

How stupid do you have to be to pull a stunt like that on an open highway?

Disney Silent on ‘Mickey Mouse’ Militant

“We were appalled by the use of our character to disseminate that kind of message,” he said “I think anytime any group seeks to exploit children in that manner, it’s despicable.”

That’s it? That’s all they’ve got to say? sigh….

Don’t be wuss, Mike tells grads

“Be honest, say what you believe, give it to them straight – just don’t wuss out,” Bloomberg told 2,500 tassled grads.

Well, isn’t that profound.

Lebanese Troops Tighten Siege of Refugee Camp; Death Toll Nears 50

Lebanese troops blasted a Palestinian refugee camp with artillery and tank fire again Monday, seeking to destroy a militant group with Al Qaeda ties. The barrage smashed buildings and sent plumes of black smoke towering over the crowded camp on the Mediterranean.

Wouldn’t it be more prudent, to save innocent lives, if the people living there kick the bad guys out?

US festival in Paris axed after threats

The festival, called Three Days in America, was supposed to take place next weekend in the Parc St Cloud, in a suburb to the west of Paris. An international event, which last year drew more than 15,000 people, the festival celebrates the American lifestyle with a mixture of live gospel and country music, line-dancing, tributes to Elvis Presley, exhibitions of American cars and spectacular fireworks.

I reckon things aren’t going to change over night, are they. Can you imagine the uproar if there were threat against a French type fest?

US bids to stop new climate deal

The United States is battling to stop next month’s Group of Eight summit in Germany from pushing for urgent talks on a new deal to fight global warming after the Kyoto Protocol lapses in 2012.

Let that puppy lapse! We know who is going to end up paying a good chunk of the costs that would ensue!

  1. Yeah, Disney won’t go after terrorists for copyright violation because “it is understood how we feel.” But, be a daycare center in the US who decides to paint Disney characters on your wall for the kiddies to enjoy and watch the full weight of the Mouse land on you. I hope this comes back to bite them the next time they try to enforce their copyright (failure to vigorously defend can lead to a loss of copyright. Not a legal opinion).
