U.S. Military Rescues 41 Iraqis From Al Qaeda Prison

U.S. forces rescued 41 Iraqi civilians Sunday from an Al Qaeda hide-out northeast of Baghdad, including some who showed signs of torture and broken bones, a senior U.S. official said.
(…)
Details were incomplete, but Caldwell said some of the freed Iraqis were being transported to medical facilities for treatment of their injuries. There were no indications that Americans had been held at the hide-out, he said. It was not immediately clear whether any Al Qaeda figures were captured.
(…)
U.S. forces previously have found a number of houses used by Al Qaeda for detention, including some where prisoners showed signs of torture. But the hide-out raided Sunday in Diyala province was the largest, Caldwell said in a telephone interview. He declined to be more specific about the location, citing security reasons.

So, here’s the question: Do the Dhimmis think if we leave Iraq, al Qaeda will leave as well?

I don’t bloody well think so!

We are there, no matter if you agree with the reason or not.  Start fighting the war, and stop the policing BS.  There will be collateral damage, which does suck, but has been part of any, and every, war through out history.  It happens.  Do we prefer to roll over and ‘play dead’, or do we want victory?  Time to sh*t, or get off the pot!

  1. No, they won’t leave, they will take over completely and Iraq will be worse off than it was under Saddam, but if we’re not going to make a 100% effort to remove al-Qaida, then we’re wasting lives, time and money…

War can’t be fought in a politically correct manner, you’re going to offend some folks, but that’s why it’s called WAR and not playtime, the Dems are as dumb as a box of rocks as far as Iraq is concerned but Bush is no better, he wants to be the knight in shining armor and have the world love him for what we do in Iraq, and it’s NOT going to work out that way…

You piss people off in WAR, and Bush needs to accept that…

  2. Sadly, from the first day Bush took office, he’s been trying to placate people on all sides. It just doesn’t work. At one time, I honestly thought he had a pair, and could stand up to defeatist types, but that opinion has changed. I know he’s a good man, with a good heart, but real leaders need more than heart…..they need backbone!

  3. When I read this story, I thought about all the Dems that think it’s possible to separate the Iraq war and al Qaeda.

    It’s not possible.

  4. I am so sick of hearing “we support the troops, just not the war” crap, I could just smack somebody! :/ The troops are fighting a war, and you’re right, it’s not possible to separate the two. That’s what soldiers do, fight wars.
