Memphis drought erases mark set during Dust Bowl years

The 10 driest springs
Historic norm for Memphis:
16.52 inches
1 2007 6.73 inches
2 1931 6.82 inches
3 1936 7.24 inches
4 1932 7.39 inches
5 1941 8.13 inches
6 1951 8.58 inches
7 1959 9.14 inches
8 1962 9.26 inches
9 1988 9.43 inches
10 1989 9.99 inches

I see a pattern here, don’t you?  It sucks, but I rather doubt it has anything to do with my PT or my carbon footprint or any other nonsense that the loons have come up with.  It’s called weather.  It happens.  It changes.  I’m fairly sure there were long, hot, dry seasons before anyone ever started keeping track.  History was not born with us. And it won’t die with us.
