An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

I keep hearing there’s some award show on tonight, where lefty types suck up to each other. I sure hope there’s something else on actually worth watching. There’s the new Fox News show, The Half-Hour News Hour, but that’s not until 9:00. No doubt, anything on the networks is going to be re-runs. If I do check it out, it’ll only be because I actually like Ellen DeGeneres. I find her rather amusing.

There’s blather about Little Miss Sunshine being favored for best picture. My question…..WHY? Michael Medved gave it four stars. Again, why? It was boring! Is that the best that the land of Clark Gable and Katherine Hepburn can come up with? sigh…  I have no idea what else has been nominated, because, well, I don’t give a happy crappy!  🙂

I watched Reel Politics: If Hollywood Ran America a little while ago. Frightening!  Truly frightening!  Although, I can see Clint Eastwood as president.  🙂

  1. The Oscars are the only award show I care about, but I am a pretty big ,ovie person. Of course there is a political agenda, sadly. The irony is most of Hollywood is liberal, yet the studios are owned by Republicans. on a side note I am dying to see Little Miss Sunshine…almost everyone who has seen it has told me it is hilarious. I am pulling for Scorsase to finally win an Oscar, it is a crime that he has never won. Also am hoping for Dicaprio to win Best Actor

  3. This nonsense no longer has any thing to do with movies. They are PC awards.

  4. I heard a great discription of Hollywood today on the radio.
“They wear clothes made for them by others, speak words written by others, move in ways told to them by others, have faces, boobs and bottoms made for them by someone else, and think they know anything about the real world?” The guy was dead on!
